Acceptance of these terms and conditions does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer

  • Regions Shipped To:  United Kingdom & Europe ONLY.

  • VAT Tax: We have de-registered for VAT as in excess of 99% of sales over the past several years have been within the EU and the massive financial savings by doing this are vital to the future of our business.

  • Channel Islands: Please note that we can no longer deduct taxes on orders to the Channel Islands

  • Payment (UK Orders): May be made by credit or debit card ( Visa, MasterCard, Switch,Delta,American Express. ), cheque or postal order.

  • PayPal:  A 2% surcharge will be added  as their commision rates are more than twice the credit card rates.

  • Payment (for orders from outside of the UK): By Credit or Debit card only. We no longer accept payment for orders from outside the UK by cheque as in the past in excess of 95% of customers chosing to pay by cheque never bothered to send us the cheque.

  • Security of Credit Card Payments: All on-line order details are transmitted over a secure server  to ensure confidentiality of your details. Do not send credit card details by e-mail as this is not a secure method, and we can not accept any responsibility for security of e-mailed information
  • Claims: Notification of missing or defective parts or any other claim should be in writing or by email to service@online-hobbies.co.uk)
  • Quality & Suitability: We endeavour to supply the best quality speciality products and accessories available, but in particular the customer should be aware that  the wooden period ship kits supplied by Derby Marine Models can be difficult to build and require a certain degree of skill. If you are not sure if you posses sufficient skills please contact us for our advice before ordering.
  • Returns: Goods will not be accepted unless a return authorisation number ( as provided by Online Hobbies UK ) is clearly marked on the outside of the package.   • Refunds:   In the case of goods that are not defective and are being returned for a refund they must be in original packaging and in re-saleable condition to qualify for a refund.
  • Delivery Times: Goods should be dispatched within 3 working days under normal circumstances unless indicated as being out of stock ( your credit card will not be debited until goods are ready for dispatch ). If not we will inform you of any delay and the reasons for it. Please note that if payment is made by cheque, shipments will not be made until funds have cleared our bank.
  • Delivery Methods & Charges: Shipments are by Royal Mail/Parcel Force or other courier service and will be charged at current rates plus a GBP 0.95 packing and handling charge.
  • Order Chasing Inquiries: To inquire about orders, e-mail us at sales@online-hobbies.co.uk   giving order number and details of your order. If After 90 days from day of dispatch, the order has not been received by you and you have not notified Online Hobbies UK of the non delivery, we will not accept any responsibility for replacing the missing goods.
  • Retention of Title: All goods remain the property of Online Hobbies UK until payment is deposited in our bank account.
  • Unsolicited Email: We will not send you any emails without your consent.
